Ever wonder what I carry with me while I travel? Well this is a snapshot of everything I had on me when I wrote this - Thursday, July 1, 2010. The list has changed a lot since I started almost one year ago, but I'm down to a pretty consistent list at this point. I've gotten rid of lot's of things that I didn't need along the way, and I've added things that come in handy on the road. I'm sure many people would scoff at this list and say it's WAY WAY WAY too much stuff to be carrying around, but I've found that most of my stuff I use often, and a lot of it -- like the stuff in the first aid kit -- is there for emergency.

• 2 Pair IceBreaker 150 weight wool shirts - amazing T-Shirts, dry much faster than cotton, and do not stink like synthetic material
• 1 Cotton T-Shirt - only wear when stationary since cotton takes forever to dry
• Long sleeve shirt - 1 IceBreaker mid-weight
• Pants - 2
• North Face - fantastic pants and are still going (mostly) strong
• REI - don't like them too much, but they're much better than the ExOfficio pants that I had before
• Shorts - 1 Pair Quicksilver board shorts
• Boots - Asolo Fugitive GTX Hiking Boots - (They seem to run 1 size small, so I had to go up to 13s). I can't begin to say how happy I am with these boots. The reviews I read said that the soles wear out quickly, but I've been wearing them over a year, and have put well over 300 mile on them at this point, and the soles are fine - worn, but still good. The water-proofing is great too - I've only gotten wet feet once, and that was from walking through rivers on the Annapurna Circuit. These boots kick ass!
• Flip-flops - some knock-offs I bought on the street in Chiang Mai. Flip-flops are essential for showers in "less than clean" hotels & hostels!
• Hat - Volcom knock-off I bought for a few bucks on Phi Phi
• Sunglasses - 2 Pair
• Wallet from Civilian Labs - Hands down the best wallet I've ever owned. It has a retractable cable that I attach to my belt. I've found my wallet dangling more than a few times after getting out of taxis, or getting up from a table at a restaurant. This wallet has saved my butt many many times.
• Fleece jacket - essential when I was in Nepal, and Vietnam, but not really needed now. I keep it because it makes great padding for my pack, and who knows when I may need it
• Rain jacket - haven't used nearly as much as I thought I would. I did use it quite a bit in China, but haven't been using it lately. I enjoy getting soaked now.
• Toque - Essential in Nepal, haven't used it since
